If notarization cannot be completed, you are not charged
If a notarization cannot be lawfully completed, you will not be charged. This includes situations such as:
- Identity verification cannot be confirmed
- The document has issues that prevent notarization
- A signer does not present a valid, unexpired government photo ID
- Technical problems prevent a remote online notarization
How payment is handled
If a charge was pre-authorized, it will be voided. If payment has already been processed, a full reimbursement will be issued.
Limitations
This refund guarantee does not apply to late cancellations or no-shows, which may incur a fee as described in our Terms & Conditions. The travel fee may be retained when a notary has already traveled to the agreed location and the appointment is canceled on site for reasons within the client's control.
